Matthias Habel

Matthias Habel is the CEO and co-founder of alitiq, an ambitious start-up in which he plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company’s success. Since its establishment in 2021, he has overseen marketing, sales, finance and administration, thereby shaping the company's commercial growth. Matthias began his career at WetterOnline after graduating with a diploma in Geography from the University of Bonn. He developed widely used weather applications and later led the company’s communications as spokesperson and Head of Corporate Communications. This work laid the foundation for his meteorological expertise, which complements his geographical education, and marked his transition from technical development to strategic leadership. Matthias lives with his wife and their blended family of five children in Bonn. In his free time, he enjoys attending music festivals and working in the garden.
